The Jimmy O’Neil Stories began with childhood memories shared by the grandfather of Christopher’s wife, Elizabeth. Born in 1933, he grew up in West Tennessee, in a world where a few pennies mattered, horses still shared the roads with automobiles, and children learned early about work and responsibility.
Jimmy is a fictional character, and his adventures combine family memories with invented characters, humor, and imagination. The heart behind the stories is real: a desire to preserve the kind of memories families pass from one generation to the next.
